Carrie Forbes, chief executive officer of League Data, reveals how Canadian citizens will be better off once Open Banking is implemented and why collaboration is key.
1. What, in your opinion, is the most critical piece of the Open Banking puzzle?
Open Banking is really about collaboration, so active participation of all players will be important to realize the value and see fruition of the benefits.
However, diverse conversations are needed to ensure we have that kind of participation, especially for those who don’t know what Open Banking means.
2. Who stands to benefit the most from the successful delivery of the roadmap?
I believe everyday Canadian citizens will benefit from Open Banking, especially those with limited access to services that help them be better off financially.
Also, having stronger data rights as individuals is fundamental to the challenges we are facing in our increasingly digital world.
3. What are you most excited for at Open Banking Expo Canada?
I’m excited to hear how we have progressed over the past year and what we can learn through conversation to reach those audiences who need to be part of the collaboration.
